Interior paint Little Greene Ultra blue (264)
This limited edition colour is hand-mixed in small batches using a single pigment: Ultramarine. Originally extracted from Lapis Lazuli by the Venetians in the 14th century, and having a value greater than gold, this pigment was, until c1520, exclusively reserved for the depiction of the robes of the Virgin Mary.
Little Greene’s Limited Edition Ultra Blue requires a unique application technique to achieve the colour’s sumptuous depth. It is essential to use a coat of opaque base coat before the two applications of top coat to achieve its rich, deep colour.
The opacity of the base-coat, which will appear quite light on application greatly impacts on the perception of colour and allows for the most accurate reproduction of this historic shade.
Simply apply the base coat, before leaving to dry for 4 hours and then recoat the wall with two coatings of top coat.
When you receive your Ultra Blue paint, ensure that you have both the Ultra Blue base coat and top coat required to achieve the perfect finish.
