How to Choose Your Paint Finish Argile

All Argile colors are available in all finishes, from deep matt to satin, in a range of interior and exterior paint. Argile offers preparation products for different surfaces, along with specialty products like matt ceiling paint and a clear matt varnish to provide further durability and resistance where required.

Our most popular finishes for interior spaces
Argile mat profond (AMP)
  • Very matt acrylic paint with a mineral and finely structured appearance. A+
  • Odourless, wipeable, easy to apply, delicate, superb coverage and opaque.
  • Sheen level: <2%
  • All common interior surfaces, raw or painted: walls, ceilings, old paint, woodwork.
Argile mat velouté (AMV)
  • A velvety mat acrylic paint, matt with a smooth, taut appearance. A+
  • Odourless, wipeable, easy to apply, durable, opaque.
  • Sheen level: 3-5%
  • All common interior surfaces, raw or painted: walls, ceilings, old paint, woodwork. Very suitable for living rooms and bedrooms.
Other water-based finishes for interiors
Argile laque mate (ALM)
  • Acrylic polyurethane matt lacquer paint, with a smooth and taut appearance. A+
  • Hard, resistant, wipeable and washable (class 1), odourless, easy to apply.
  • Sheen level: 3-5%
  • All types of interior surfaces, raw or painted, for dry or damp rooms (walls, woodwork, doors, skirting boards, kitchens, bathrooms, hotels, commercial buildings, etc.)
Argile laque satinée intérieure (ALSI)
  • Acrylic polyurethane lacquer paint with a glossier satin finish, smooth and taut. A+
  • Odourless, resistant, durable, wipeable and washable.
  • Sheen level: 20-25%
  • All common interior surfaces, raw or already painted: walls, woodwork, doors, windows, old paint, skirting boards, furniture or bathrooms.
Primers and sealers
Argile sous-couche de préparation (ASCP)
  • Acrylic primer for the preparation of rough and absorbent substrates (plaster, plasterboard, matt acrylic paint) to be used prior to application of Argile interior paint. A+
  • White. Mostly odourless. Fine, matt and smooth appearance.
